Lotto wins are coming thick and fast this month, with plenty of players scooping big money jackpots in the month of love. A number of players have also won untold fortunes, only to not to claim their prizes yet. You’d think right after the Christmas period that everybody would want to snap up their prizes?
Over in the Philippines, a 40-year-old driver from Cavite managed to scoop a P159 million jackpot on the country’s Grand Lotto 6/55 drawing. The win on February 3 is one of the larger wins to be announced in the South East Asian country. The winner plans on giving their local community church a significant handout, whilst at the same time they plan on buying a lot and building a house, invest in a local business, and to save for their children’s future. They aim to do a lot with their cash, then.
The winner has been playing the lottery since 1996, and won with the winning numbers 6, 9, 12, 14, 17, and 25.
Meanwhile over in Limerick, Ireland, one player is running out of time to get his or her mitts on a €500,000 jackpot prize. The EuroMillions Plus prize winner only has until Thursday to claim the win, which was announced last November 11.
The player scooped the win after bagging the numbers 3, 4, 21, 27, and 45 on their ticket. The ticket itself was purchased in the Supervalu Castletroy Shopping Centre, and consisting of a €3 Quick Pick.
Normally, ticket holders have just 90 days to claim their prize in the EuroMillions Plus game, which means that there is a deadline of 5.30pm on Thursday February 11 for the player to come forward.
