Lucky Money is Florida’s newest lottery game. Although it offers smaller prizes than the mainstream Florida Lotto, it is rapidly becoming a popular lotto in its own right in the Sunshine State. This state-wide lottery is played every Tuesday and Friday, and was known as Mega Money until summer 2014, when it changed its name to avoid confusion with the Mega Millions lotto.
The lottery is played over two machines, and Mega Money was actually launched much earlier. The original set up saw players choosing 4 balls out of the 32 presented, as well as 1 Lucky Ball from a total of 32. The new system involves players picking 4 balls out of 44 available, and 1 ball out of 22 for their Lucky Ball.
In order to claim their winnings as a lump sum, players must declare and claim their prize within 60 days of the draw.
How to play Florida Lucky Money
Players must select a total of 4 balls on their ticket, as well as a Lucky Ball. Two machines are used in the draw. One of these machines is filled with 44 white balls, which act as the lotto’s standard numbers. Another machine contains 22 pink balls, and these are the Lucky Ball numbers. Four numbers are drawn from the white machine, and one from the orange machine (with pink balls) to give you your winning numbers.
Prizes
The jackpot in this lotto is capped at $2 million, whereby if it is not won, the jackpot will then pass to the player or players with the next highest winning ticket. The top prize can therefore not exceed $2 million, and starts out being worth $500,000. In order to win it, players will need to match all 4 numbers, plus the Lucky Ball.
Landing just the 4 numbers will see players win approximately $1,200, whilst $200 and $60 prizes are available for players winning with 3 balls and the Lucky Ball, or just the 3 balls, respectively. Landing a win with 2 balls and the Lucky Ball will see players win about $20, whilst a $2 prize is available for any player with just 2 balls.
Players can even win if they have 1 ball and the Lucky Ball, which is worth $2.50, whilst having just the Lucky Ball itself is worth a $1 prize.
Lotto Atlas recommends playing Lucky Money on The Lotter
Lucky Money is one of many top worldwide lotteries offered by The Lotter. Lotto Atlas highly recommends using The Lotter to purchase tickets for this lottery game, if you don’t live inside the state of Florida.
The Lotter will be able to provide you with tickets for a small surcharge, and with those tickets (which are emailed to you), you can compete to win as much as $2 million. We’d always recommend playing with The Lotter, since it is the best name in online lottery ticket sales.
And finally…
It may be much smaller in stature than some of the other big-money North American lotteries, but Lucky Money has plenty to offer players. One of the perks of this lottery is that it will permit players to cash out in lump sums, and it does have plenty of smaller prizes for players with secondary winning combinations. You could also win either the entire jackpot or a share of it, even if you don’t have all 4 balls and the Lucky Ball, if the jackpot rolls over often enough.
